The Plantation Garden Events
Our summer programme of special events has now ended, though the Garden stays open every day of the year. We’ll be back again next summer with a varied programme and, of course, teas on Sunday afternoons. Our thanks to all our volunteers and to all our visitors.

Our global shared reading event returns! Pick a book, bring a cool drink and turn off your phone for a well-deserved detox read in the beautiful surroundings of The Plantation Garden. Simultaneous events will be taking place in UNESCO Cities of Literature across the world.

Come along to our annual bumper Plant Sale. Choose from a variety of perennial plants, including pelargoniums, salvias, herbs, succulents and many more at competitive prices and all home-grown in the Plantation Garden greenhouse and nursery

Revolutionary Biscuits – Bio-sonification Live

Bio-sonification is the process of translating the electrical impulses produced by all living things into sound. Revolutionary Biscuits will play live, unedited music produced by the plants in The Plantation Garden.

Pavilion Big Band is a traditional 18 piece big band, featuring the crooning vocals of the fabulous Ron Barrett & Seattle native Sarah Borges. From Glenn Miller classics, Sinatra & Ella Fitzgerald standards, through to a spicy mix of Latin tunes, and a smattering of modern classics thrown in, Pavilion Big Band we leave you at the very least toe-tapping, and more than likely up and dancing!

Breathe dance warmly invites you to a morning of dance performances by local community dance groups and companies
Breathe dance is a community dance group with a desire to bring people together through the power of dance and movement. Once a year Breathe dance share their work , with a performance in the beautifully setting of the plantation gardens. This years performance is inspired by the theme of Awe.
This year we will be joined by other Norfolk based dance companies inclusive dance company In Cahoots and over 50’s dance company Cadenza.

Sign up on the day for an Open Mic slot [one poem please] and tell us about your poetry news, events, publications.
Please donate in the red letter box in the entrance area – minimum £2 to support the upkeep of the Gardens. You can pay by cash or text [details available on site].
There may not be seating for all so bring a blanket or chairs if you can.
You can bring a picnic and non alcoholic drink if you would like to. There is a No Smoking and No Alcohol policy on site. We ask you to take your litter home.
